Caitlin Clark made her WNBA debut last night for the Indiana Fever and struggled, especially from behind the 3-pt line. While her fans were disappointed, there is a significant fraction of WNBA players who are hoping she fails. Much like when Larry Bird or Michael Jordan entered the NBA, the players aren’t always happy to see a newcomer steal all the headlines.
Doug Gottlieb: “There is the anti-Caitlin bias that exists among WNBA players, I don’t think that’s new at all. Bird went through that. Jordan went through that. Caitlin Clark can go through that.”
