Philip Rivers Named Alabama High School Football Coach In Waiting

The son of a high school football coach, Colts quarterback Philip Rivers has long spoken about his desire to follow in his father's footsteps when his playing ways over.

Now, that time could be just around the corner. On Friday, the former Chargers quarterback was named the future head football coach at St. Michael Catholic High School when he decides to retire from the NFL.

In March, Rivers signed a one-year, $25 million deal in Indianapolis where he reunites with former offensive coordinator Frank Reich.
