LSU freshman running back JT Lindsey surrendered to campus police on Friday (August 8) after a warrant was issued accusing him of allowing two murder suspects stay in his dorm earlier this year, his attorney, Kris Perret, confirmed to WAFB.

Lindsey was wanted on two felony counts of accessory after-the-fact to second degree murder for allegedly allowing Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18, to stay in his dorm after the fatal shooting of Corey Brooks, 17, in Alexandria, Louisiana, in May. Jacobs and Jordan were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on the LSU campus last Monday (August 4).

Lindsey is reportedly friends with the two suspects and all three are from Alexandria. Jacobs and Jordan are suspected to have stayed with Lindsey at his on-campus apartment for nearly two weeks, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to WAFB. Multiple guns, including two AR-15 rifles, a Draco and a Glock, were found by marshals in the apartment-style dorm.

Perret confirmed that Lindsey is facing a criminal charge, however, claims he was unaware that the two suspects were wanted for murder and was at LSU's football camp when the situation played out. Police, however, claim Lindsey was aware that his two friends were wanted on murder charges in the arrest warrant, which states that investigators “interviewed an associate of Lindsey, who advised that Lindsey has told the associate, prior to their apprehension, that Jacobs and Jordan were wanted for murder.”

Lindsey rated as a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 9 running back, No. 4 player from the state of Louisiana and the No. 152 overall prospect for the 2025 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.
