The United States Men's Soccer Team will kickoff its 2024 Paris Olympics Group A schedule with a pre-opening ceremony matchup against host nation France on Wednesday (July 24), and you can listen to it live on iHeartRadio. Audio of the US Men's soccer vs France match will stream live beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET on NBC Olympics Radio Plus.
This is the first time since the 2008 Beijing games that the USMNT will appear at the Olympics. Unfortunately, the U.S. will be without several of its biggest stars including captain Christian Pulisic, as well as Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams, as the men's soccer tournament will be comprised of 16 under-23 squads with three exceptions.
The USMNT features forward Taylor Booth, who excels at scoring and attacking in the final third, entering the tournament with four career caps in international play. Booth recorded five goals and 32 total shots for FC Utrecht during the 2023-24 season for the Eredivisie, the highest league in the Netherlands.
Midfielder Paxten Aaronson, who also plays for FC Utrecht, is credited for his field vision and awareness, entering the tournament with one career goal in international play.
France enters the tournament as the favorite with a balanced offensive group led by midfielder Désiré Doué. Doué excels at both assisting and passing, recording four goals and four assists for Stade Rennais F.C. of the top tier French Ligue 1 last season.
Be sure to tune in to the matchup at 3:00 p.m. ET on NBC Olympics Radio Plus.
