Haley Batten, a 27-year-old professional mountain biker from Park City, Utah, is set to compete in her second Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Batten began cycling at the age of nine and won her first National title at 14. She turned professional at 17 with LUNA and has since made a name for herself on the international stage.

Batten's passion for cycling was ignited by the supportive community and endless trails in her hometown. She balances her professional mountain biking career with studying Liberal Arts and Sciences at Quest University in Squamish, British Columbia. Batten is passionate about exploring the relationship between neuroscience and education and how the application of science into the learning process can engage students in the most fulfilling way.

2021 marked Batten's first year as an elite on the World Cup circuit, and she has since landed on several World Cup podiums, taking her first elite World Cup win in 2024. She is coached by 3x Olympic Gold medalist, Kristin Armstrong.

Batten splits her time between university in Squamish, British Columbia, Santa Cruz, California, and global travels with Specialized Factory Racing. She values her career, the people, and brands she works with, and strives daily for a healthier self, community, and planet, aiming to inspire a happier, healthier world.

In an interview with the Deseret News, Batten shared her journey to the top of cross-country mountain biking and her goals for the upcoming Olympics. She believes that she is one of the best in the world right now and that with the right mindset and tactics, she can definitely earn a medal.
