Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing was arrested early Friday (November 18) morning, hours after the team's road victory against the Green Bay Packers, NFL Network Senior Insider Ian Rapoport reports.

Downing, 42, was charged with DUI and speeding in Williamson County, a suburban area south of Nashville, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol told FOX 17 News that Downing was pulled over on I-65 South near Moores Lane at around 2:30 a.m. after a trooper observed his vehicle speeding.

The trooper said downing showed signs of impairment and smelled an intoxicant emitting from the vehicle Downing was traveling in at the time.

The Titans defeated the Packers, 27-17, at Lambeau Field Thursday (November 17) night, with Downey's offense accounting for 408 total yards, which Tennessean writer Gentry Estes referred to as "easily the best of the season for the Titans' offense," crediting the "more balanced" and "more creative" gameplan amid past criticism of Downing's play-calling "getting too boring or too predictable or even too cute" throughout the 2022 season.

Downing was initially hired by the Titans as a tight ends coach in 2019, having previously held the same position with the Minnesota Vikings.

The 42-year-old was promoted to offensive coordinator prior to the 2021 NFL season.

The Titans improved their record to 7-3 with Thursday's win, which tied the Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) and Miami Dolphins (7-3) for the most victories by an AFC team.
