To celebrate Pi Day (Monday, March 14), Yelp compiled a list of their best-reviewed pie shops in every state, and California's best is in San Diego County. Here's how they did it:
"We identified businesses in the bakery, dessert, and food categories on Yelp with a large concentration of reviews mentioning “pie,” then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning “pie.” This list looked at businesses in the United States."
So which San Diego bakery has the best pie in California? According to Yelp, it's California Mountain Bakery! The shop is located in a small rural community near Julian.
The bakery has a 5-star rating on Yelp as of Monday, March 14, and over 150 glowing reviews. If you're trying to try their famous pie for yourself, the bakery is only open for walk-ins on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
