Supreme Court Reinstates 'Remain In Mexico' Policy

The U.S. Supreme Court has reinstated the Trump-era 'Remain in Mexico' policy for immigrants seeking asylum. By a 6-3 vote, the Court ruled that the Biden administration's attempt to rescind the policy earlier this year was in violation of federal law. The policy was enacted in 2019. Currently about 25,000 people are awaiting asylum status in Mexico.
