Bush 43 Speaks Out On Afghanistan

George W. Bush is criticizing the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan. In a new interview, the former president said civilians are being left to be slaughtered by the Taliban. Bush explained, "Afghan women and girls are going to suffer unspeakable harm. This is a mistake. They're just going to be left behind to be slaughtered by these very brutal people, and it breaks my heart.” President Bush sent troops to Afghanistan in 2001 after the September 11 attacks. U.S. and NATO forces began withdrawing in early May and should be out by September.
