Young Americans Are Lagging On Vaccines

Health experts are turning their focus in the fight against Covid-19 to vaccinating young Americans. CDC data shows at least 25 states, plus Washington, D.C. have now fully vaccinated at least half of their adult residents. But, according to the CDC, people in age groups 24-years-old and younger need to catch up. For 18 to 24-year-olds, only 7% have received at least one dose, and for 16 to 17-year-olds it drops to just under 2%. Health officials warn the key to getting the pandemic "under control" is to vaccinate younger Americans, calling them the next "critical age group."
