Remembering Michael Collins

At a time while America was being influenced by professional athletes, rock stars and fast cars...the U.S Space Program was emerging and would be taken to new heights in the summer of 1969.

With an established space program, three American Hero's were about to take center stage on a global platform. There names Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. They were the three astronauts to fly to the moon and return...successfully. While Armstrong and Aldrin were the two who walked the surface of the moon, it was Collins who dropped them off and circled the moon while the others discovered the elements.

AM 760 Talk Show Host Mark Larson is a member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Air & Space Museum and had the opportunity on a few occasions to meet and engage with Astronaut Collins.
Larson shared his thoughts of not only an American Hero...but a friend.
