House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling the surge of migrant children crossing the Southern border "a humanitarian challenge", but blamed it on the Biden administration inheriting a "broken system" from former President Donald Trump. She made the comments on ABC News "This Week". But, when Senator Bill Cassidy was asked on "Fox News Sunday" if President Biden's new open-border policies are responsible for the increase he responded: "Empirically, it's entirely." More than 29,000 unaccompanied minors crossed the border in February, according to figures from US Customs and Border Protection. Biden has authorized FEMA to assist federal immigration authorities over the next 90 days.
