Many Americans hold President Donald Trump most responsible for provoking his supporters to storm the Capitol on Wednesday. In a new Politico/Morning Consult poll, 63 percent of registered voters believe Trump is at least "somewhat" responsible for the events that led to the chaos at the Capitol; 49% of respondents said Trump is "very" responsible. The only people who bore greater responsibility than the president were those who actually broke into the Capitol. According to the survey, 80% found them at least "somewhat" responsible.
