Golf is hard... No one is going to dispute that, but it is incredible just how difficult the three of us make it look.
Let's start with the big guy... Rich Ohrnberger:
Ahhhh, out of bounds once again.
Rich spent a lot of his day at Native Oaks hitting out of one Hazard and into another. Rich carded a 114 on the day and what's more impressive is that he hit at least three drives over 320 yards right down the center of the fairway.
If Rich's game was an animal, it would be a silver back gorilla... Doesn't have to be accurate to be effective. When they start grunting, get out of the way... and for god sakes man... STOP WALKING ALL OVER THE HAZARDS... 30 seconds and your ball is gone!
Travis has an incredibly interesting golf game. My is build like a brick sh*&house and swings like a Barbie Doll... He lines up his drives as far right as a human could possibly do so... While the drive travels a total of 250 yards every time... they make it about 120 yards into the fairway. BIG SLICE. Somehow it works. The one drive he hit straight all day went about 220 dead straight... unfortunately that was on a 130 yard par three. He looked like he knew what he was doing when he took the driver out of the bag... He didn't. Travis shot a 124 with more than a few double pars on the card.
Then there is me... I'm not claiming to be a great golfer... but I played far below my standard this week. I shot a 108 and didn't hit a good iron shot all day.
All I know is when I hit a 275 yard drive right down the middle of the fairway on the back 9 I was feeling really good about myself... until Rich hit one 40 yards past my ball. Someone check that boy for ringworm cause he's on that Tatis Diet.
