A dismal 2-4 homestand, outscored 21-9 by the Cleveland Guardians and the lowly Washington Nationals, 49 runners left on base, and an abysmal 4-for-38 with runners in scoring position!
And this was supposed to be the soft part of the Padres schedule.
Following the 7-0 shutout by the former Padre Cal Quantrill and the Cleveland Guardians, Bob Melvin, Blake Snell and Wil Myers discussed the rough stretch and what's going on with the befuddling offense.
"Time's running out, we feel like we have a good run left in us, we feel like we have a good roster. We just haven't shown it."
