Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady was reportedly shocked to learn that his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, was pregnant and the two only speak when necessary for their co-parenting situation.
Brady, 47, reportedly "only found out that Gisele was pregnant" with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente's child "very recently," a supposed "well-placed Miami source who knows" him told Page Six.
“I think they talk when they have to,” the source said.
“Tom’s great, a very nice, normal guy. Gisele is … very different. She really blows hot and cold,” the insider added.
Valente has reportedly been “living at [Bündchen’s] house in Miami for while" with her and her children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, an insider with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday (October 29). Bündchen, 44, is reportedly "head over heels" with Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor, and her "friends haven't seen her life this before," the insider added.
“Their chemistry together has always been there and they have a lot in common,” the source said. “They’ve been in love for a while.”
Bündchen reportedly told Brady about her pregnancy prior to the news making headlines on Monday (October 28), a source close to the supermodel told TMZ, though it's unclear exactly when. The FOX Sports broadcaster shared an Instagram story on Monday featuring a photo of a sunset with an audio clip of The Chicks' rendition of 'Landslide,' along with the caption of the lyrics, "Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?"
In February, Page Six reported that representatives for Brady and Bündchen were disputing in the press over her reported new relationship with Valente, who she was reported to be "deeply in love" with.
“They have been dating since June. They’re taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other,” the sources claimed.
Sources linked to Brady then claimed that the relationship started much earlier, telling TMZ, "They should add '2021' after June. Then the headline would be accurate."
Brady and Bündchen filed for divorce in October 2022 and were reported to have separated in June 2021. Valente and his brother, also a trainer, had been spotted with Bündchen on several trips to Costa Rica and her native Brazil since November 2022, though the supermodel previously claimed that things were platonic, calling him a "true friend."
A source claimed that Bündchen and Valente were reported to have "had a conversation and became a couple" in July 2023, Page Six reported after another source said they saw the two kissing on Valentine's Day in Miami.
