Popular San Diego County Diner Is Closing For Good

A favorite place to eat among locals and travelers in the East County mountains is closing its doors.

Major's diner has been a popular pit stop in Pine Valley for decades, but the owners recently lost their lease and now the diner must close for good.

Owner Debi McNamer says she and her staff have especially loved the winter time visitors.

McNamer says its not just visitors from Southern California or Arizona, but from overseas like Germany and France.

The last chance to get some homemade biscuits and gravy and take in the atmosphere of this 50's inspired diner will be this Sunday, February 5th.
